File:Twenty one pilots - heathens.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by EthanRossie2000 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Image is a non-free album cover for the Suicide Squad sound track, however it is being used as the primary means of identification for he single, Heathens (song). AS this is the cover for the album and not the single, this fails to satisfy WP:NFCC#8, and the rationale itself is invalid as it claims it is the singles art cover. As far as I can tell, there is no artwork specifically for the single. Whpq (talk) 04:14, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Being published in 1911, this book cover almost certainly qualifies for {{PD-1923}}. Doesn't seem to be a newer cover either. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 12:11, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This book was published in 1917, and it looks like an original copy. Thus the cover would fall under {{PD-1923}} and not {{Non-free book cover}}. I wonder though who took the photo that is the newer version; Lamro, do you know? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 12:31, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I don't know. I have found the cover via Google search -- tried to find the earliest available. Cheers, Lamro (talk) 17:01, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Burton Barr Central Library.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Tesshaver (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The image is of an actual building rather than a proposed one, so it can be replaced with a freely licensed photo of the building (i.e it fails WP:NFCC#1). The rationale claims the photo is freely licensed but without a source link I can't verify this. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 12:34, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - The licensing is very confusing as it is being documented with a fair use rationale but the other information notes state "The author of the image has released the photographic work under a free license, or it is in the public domain: CC by 4.0". The source claimed is "image archive at Will Bruder Architects" without a URL provided. The web site of the firm does have this project available at http://willbruderarchitects.com/project/burton-barr-phoenix-central-library/ with this image present but much less saturated than the one uploaded (but still clearly the same work). there is no indication anywhere on this page or elsewhere on the site that indicates any sort of free license. There is no evidence that this is a free file so a license correction is not viable. With respect to its non-free usage, it is obviously replaceable since we already have File:Phoenix Central Library - North East Corner - 2008-12-27.jpg. -- Whpq (talk) 13:51, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Image is claimed as own work, but we would need OTRS confirmation that the uploader holds the copyright as this appears to be a widely circulated publicity photo. See http://downtownphoenixjournal.com/2013/06/24/wire-will-bruder-elected-fellow-of-aia/ for one such usage where the photo crdit simply states "Photo courtesy of Will Bruder Architects." Sculpture in an unknown country, so the FOP status is unknown. The sculptor appears to be Draft:Walter Noetico. Stefan2 (talk) 20:42, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Administrators, Stefan and Jo-Jo Eumerus, With regard to the image Sculpture "Alfa omega", I have uploaded it, for insertion under "clarification needed" for one of the statements at the beginning of text for Walter Noetico Artist, and while preparing the "inline citations" I thought it a good idea to include a visual image of what it is, this Neoilluminist Alphabet which was invented by this Artist. Having uploaded this image, I then was unable to connect it with the page itself, and it was left "floating" on the Commons section. I also, at that time, was unsure of what Licensing tag to use, and left it blank, but later I believe that I did insert a Licence tag to it. As for the FoP, this sculpture is not in a public place. The image of it was given to me by the Artist himself for the purposes of my working on a page creation (together with other numerous hard paper journals, newspaper cuttings, books and art catalogues etc, since his prime activity was in the years way back from the age of internet). Could you kindly revise this matter and your decision please? If you do need an email from Maestro Noetico to confirm his authorisation and permission to use the material, I can arrange for that to be sent. If I made a mistake, I do apologise, because I am quite new to the Wikipedia and am often quite confused by what is the correct and best way of action. I am, however, all atyour disposal to make matters coherent, in good light and in accordance with the rules of Wikipedia. Many thanks for your time and attention. --Richard F Morris (talk) 20:51, 30 June 2016 (UTC) Richard F Morris[reply]

Delete. Fails WP:NFCC#1. NFUR for use in Real-time tactics tautologically states that the image is not replaceable because "No free replacement is available." Because the intent of the image is "to display gameplay of real-time tactics video game genre", a free replacement for this purpose could be obtained from a game that is freely licensed or an OTRS.
